Laura Aleene Godare's Obituary
Laura Aleene Godare, nee Cort, 91, of East Carondelet/Dupo, Ill. area, born January 18, 1925 in Malta Bend, MO., passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Godare worked at Covington Manor as a house keeper. She was a member Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill., Christ United Church of Christ Quilters group, Eastern Star Rob Morris Chapter in Fairview Heights, Ill.
Mrs. Godare was preceded by in death by her husband, Clarence Albert Godare, her parents, Robert & Sylvia, nee Prosise, Cort, her sisters, Louise Dupatz, Betty Decker & Cleo Lucy and her brothers, Henry Cort & Fred Cort.
She is survived by her son, Larry (JoAnn) Godare, her daughter, Janet (Kenneth) Hebel, her grandchildren, Darryl Hebel, Wendy (Robert) Ates II, Tracy (David) McNatt and Mark (Nicki) Godare, her great grandchildren, Katlyn Hoerz, Alyssa Ringler, Robert Ates III, Jessica Castillo, Kendra Turner, Ryan Hebel, Brittany Dell, Shelby Lynn Dell, Brenden Dell, Alexandra Godare & Ashley Grace Godare, her great great grandchildren, Peyton, Lorelei, Eli, Elleigh, Alex & Roman, her sisters, Luella Kent & Shirley Mallett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.
Memorials may be made to Christ United Church of Christ Elevator Fund.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., and on Friday, October 14, 2016 an hour before the service at Christ United
Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill., with Rev. Todd Muschaney, officiating.
Interment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
