I worked with Larry over three decades encompassing the various work shifts, holidays, and events that came to us in that passage of time. When Larry was working solo, or part of the crew dispatching for the work shift on any given day, you knew things were being covered on that end. He was a consummate professional at his vocation. That aside, Larry and I did find moments to discuss aspects of his favorite railroad, the GM&O, versus the Wabash (mine). I'm sure he is riding on "The Rebel Road" as I write this, and I hope to talk with him again at some depot up the line. He was a good man.
