Larry James Silch's Obituary
Larry James Silch, 81 years of Belleville, IL, passed away on August 18, 2025, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, IL. He was born March 13, 1944, in Belleville, IL., to the late Harry and Lediene (nee Beaumont) Silch.
Larry was a very hard worker who absolutely loved animals and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an excellent cook, and he was a friend to everyone he met. He also couldn't get enough of his Cardinals baseball and was a proud Marine veteran.
Surviving are his brother, Randy (Linda) Silch, sister, Susan (Stephen) Reinhardt, nieces and nephews; Angie, Amy, Jenny, Shawn and Eric, great-nephews; Brandon, Logan and Thomas, son, Ryan, along with other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Stumpf-Silch and son Larry.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home, Red Bud, IL. Services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, following the visitation at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Winkelman officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the Randolph County Humane Society, 5752 State Rte 4, Steelville, IL. 62288.
