Larry "Boots" E. Berg's Obituary
Larry E. "Boots" Berg, 63, of Red Bud, IL., born September 19, 1953 in Red Bud, IL., passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, IL., where he was an Eucharistic Minister and adult server and served on the parish council. He was also a member of the Red Bud Knights of Columbus, Life Time member of Waterloo FFA Alumni Association and Monroe County Farm Bureau.
He was owner/operator of his own trucking company.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Marlene Berg, nee Linnertz, his daughters; Jeniffer (John) Tepe & Kimberly (Chris) Walster; his son, Tim (Beth) Berg; his grandchildren, Noah Tepe, Chas & Lilly Walster, and Emmett & Calvin Berg; his mother; Betty Berg, nee Fahey; his sisters, Joan (Gary) Wittenauer, Deb Berg-Gash, Barb (Glen) Muench & Pam (Wayne) Liefer; his brother, Gary Berg; his sisters & brother-in-law, Linda & Willie Guebert and Glenn & Ann Linnertz; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Berg.
His greatest joy was his family, friends and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home, Red Bud, IL, and on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home, Red Bud, IL.
Funeral Mass will be on Thursday July 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, IL.with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer,
officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Red Bud, IL.
