Kimberly A Griffin's Obituary
Kimberly A. Griffin, 68, passed away at 6:58pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Memorial Hospital East, enjoying her favorite past time of watching the Cardinals play.
She was born on February 10, 1953 in East St. Louis, IL.
Kimberly enjoyed being a machine operator for an embroidery company. Besides being a Cardinals fan, Kimberly devoted her life to her kids and grandkids.
Surviving are her two sons, Derek Burgess, and Michael Griffin; grandchildren, Brendan Burgess, and Tiffany Griffin; brother, Kirk (Lisa) Thompson, two nephews; Jonathan Nesbit and Matthew Thompson, and one niece, Katie Howell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Bette Thompson, nee Rosenthal; a brother, Dale Thompson; and her best friend, Lynn Burgess.
At Kimberly's request, she will be cremated, and no services will be held. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the family.
