Kenneth R. Williams' Obituary
Kenneth Ray Williams, age 64 of Red Bud, IL., passed away on May 20, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Town and Country, MO. He was born September 14, 1960, in Red Bud, IL., to Glenn G. Williams and Esther Williams, nee, Kelkhoff.
Kenneth grew up in Red Bud and after graduating from Red Bud High School he went to work at Red Bud Industries, where he spent the next 44 years as an electrician until his retirement. He enjoyed many things in life, including, traveling with his girlfriend Connie, scuba diving and of course his St. Louis Cardinals. What brought Kenneth the most joy though was helping others and anything to do with St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Bud. He was a part of everything in the church, from overseeing the cemetery and running the sound system, to being the official bell ringer for several years and going on mission trips to California and China. He also was the custodian there for over 20 years and he loved helping decorate the church at Christmas. He even plowed and shoveled snow for the church and others during the winter.
It wasn't just the church that Kenneth was active in, he was very active in the community as well. He organized for all of the foods to be brought in for the car shows, he was also a member of the Lions Club and the Jaycee. Anywhere that help could be given, more than likely you would find Kenneth there.
Surviving are his; mother, Esther Williams, siblings, Linda Hargrove (Don), Arlin Williams (Lori), Brenda Chitwood (Brian), girlfriend, Connie Kopp, along with nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives.
Preceding him in death was his father, Glenn Williams and brother, Roger Williams.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, Red Bud, IL. Services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 11:00 am, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Red Bud, IL., with Pastor Mark Winkelman officiating.
