Kenneth Francis Weilbacher's Obituary
Kenneth Francis Weilbacher, 82 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his home. He was born July 4, 1941, in Belleville, IL.
Kenny was of the Catholic faith and a lifelong member of St. James catholic Church. He was a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus 4741, past President of St. Clair County Farm Bureau and St. Clair Service Company. He enjoyed his mornings at the Cafe on the Abbey in Columbia with the guys. In his younger years, Kenny was a Union Carpenter. He remained a member of the Union for 60 years. He was a lifelong farmer which he enjoyed very much and loved driving around on the skid loader.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Juleene, nee Ruhmann, Weilbacher whom he married on April 17, 1963, four children, Karen Terveer, Michael (Robyn) Weilbacher, Debbie (Jim) Pickus, and Mark (Leslie) Weilbacher, 15 grandchildren, Ryan (Demi Brandt) Terveer, Justin Terveer, Lindsey (Ashley) Weilbacher, Lauren (Jacob) Fowler, Mackenzie (Joey) Campbell, Madison Weilbacher, Nicholas Weilbacher, Josh Pickus, Alex Pickus, Brandon Pickus, Conner Pickus, Abbey Weilbacher, Colin Weilbacher, Sydny Quint, and Seth Quint, five great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jackson and Everett Fowler, Cecelia Weilbacher, and Lila Brandt, his siblings, Bernice Gregorio, Audrey (Joe) Kaiser, Eugene (JoAnn) Weilbacher and Maurice (Lisa) Weilbacher, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eileen (Charles) Curran, Bro. Tom Ruhmann OMI, Steve (Diane) Ruhmann, Wayne (Sandra) Ruhmann, John Ruhmann, Mary (Craig) Althoff and Peggy Ruhmann, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Eleanora, nee Wienhoff, Weilbacher, grandson, Nathan Weilbacher, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Rosanna Ruhmann, and three brothers-in-law, Frank Gregorio, Ralph Ruhmann and Stanley (Judy) Ruhmann.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 2 - 6 pm, at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, IL, and on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 9 - 10 am at St. James Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 10 am, with Fr. Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery, Millstadt, IL
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, IL.
