I knew your dad as Papa Kenny. I was the activity director at Columbia Convalescent Center during the years that he preformed there. He was a master of spreading joy. Even when his ability to sing and play waned he was a hit with many residents because he was so upbeat and enthusiastic.
I continued to visit with Kenny and Dorothy at Garden Place and bring communion some Sundays. Kenny would always reminisce about having such fun playing music.
He will always hold a special place in my heart.
