Kenneth H Koester's Obituary
Kenneth Henry Koester, 92 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL. He was born December 9, 1932, in Ellis Grove, IL., to the late Arnold W. and Malinda Koester, nee Goedelmann.
Kenneth enjoyed woodworking, camping, being outdoors, traveling and cheering for Dale Earnhardt, Sr. while watching his Nascar races.
Surviving are the love of his life, Geraldine Koester, nee Diemert whom he married on February 7, 1953, and spent the next 72 years with. Also surviving are his; daughter, Kim (Roger) Herriman, son, Kalvin (Karen) Koester, grandchildren, Korey Koester, Kristan (Dewayne) Tolbert, Kendra (Doug) East, Kyle Herriman, Ryan Herriman, Cameren (Kelsey) Koester and Braeden Koester, great-grandchildren, Khiria, Darius, Kaleb, Kristina, Devon, Nathaniel, Grayson, Ella, Annika and Kellen, daughter-in-law, Nancy Koester along with other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; sons; Keith Koester, Kevin Koester and Karl Koester; granddaughter, Angel Koester;
Visitation will be Monday, October 6, 2025, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home, Red Bud, Red Bud, IL, and Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Red Bud, IL. Services will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, Red Bud, IL with Pastor Mark Winkelman officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud, IL.
