Kenneth J. Jahr's Obituary
Kenneth Jahr, 97 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on November 7, 2025. He was born January 13, 1928, in Columbia, IL. Son of the late Herman and Nora, nee Frank, Jahr.
Surviving are his son, Kurt (Debbie) Jahr of Columbia, IL; daughter, Sandy (Charles) Bryan of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Jason Jahr, Jeffrey Jahr, Adam Koontz, Joseph Koontz, and Alexandra Byers; great-grandchildren, Clark, Logan, Lily, Alden, Leo, and Kai; nieces, Sharon Jahr, Robin Greene, and Janet Thompson, along with other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Audrey, nee Schroeder, Jahr, who he married on June 11, 1949, and who passed away December 4, 2018; brothers, Clarence, Albert, Leroy, and Raymond "Chick" Jahr; sisters, Edna Rader, Ophelia Beckman, Dora Jehling, and Christina Jehling.
A Memorial Service will be held in the spring of 2026. (An additional obituary will be published with information for the memorial service).
