My memories of Kelley go back a long way. Her grandfather and my dad were best friends. Our houses were about 100 yards apart. Her family lived in a house that my dad had built. So there were many things that tied us together but the greatest of all was friendship. During middle-school, junior high and high school there were many trips between our houses. Our backyards ran into each other and I remember as if it was yesterday being 13 or 14 years old and running out my back door, running through my backyard to her house just to tell her that I got a phone call from some boy. And then we would sit in her bedroom and talk for hours about anything (and anyone!) as only teenagers can do. Kelley and I lost touch after high school but when both of our fathers died we connected again. And when we spoke it was like no time at all had passed. We simply picked up where we had left off and within minutes we were laughing like crazy going down memory lane.
Kelley was always laughing, always in a good mood, always getting in one-liners wherever she could. She was always smiling, always looked beautiful and always loved with her whole heart. She will be missed by many and remembered by many more.
