Kathy S. Parres' Obituary
Kathy S. Parres, 71 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on December 25, 2021. She was born November 19, 1950, in Belleville, IL, daughter of the late Allan Winter, and Jane, nee Huber, Winter. She was married to the late Ronald E. Parres. They were married July 13, 1973.
Kathy loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She treasured and embraced every moment she spent with them. She enjoyed playing cards games with them and sat at the winning chair. Her smile was contagious and found laughter with her family. Her dog, Maggie, was always by her side and was her greatest companion. She loved Christmas time to watch endless hours of Hallmark movies. Her most favorite thing to do was to sit on the back porch listening to the birds looking at the lake and beautiful life around her. Kathy missed her husband Ron and is now back in his arms once again.
Also, surviving are her two daughters, Cindy Downing and Tracy Parres; grandchildren, Payton & A.J. Downing and Gavin Parres; a sister, Kim (Lane) Pietro, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Cheri Poehler.
Visitation will be Friday, January 7, 2022, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home, Millstadt, IL, with a Time of Reflection at 7:00 pm following the visitation. Kathy will be cremated according to her wishes.
