Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Massie's Obituary
Kathryn Ann"Kathy" Massie, nee Sloan 65,of East Carondelet, IL, born Satruday, April 28, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL., died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Kathy worked for the Dupo Community District 196 for over 30 years. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed making things for others.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen F. Massie in 2007, her parents Cecil "Sonny" and Goldie, nee Pate, Sloan, her brother, Merle Sloan, & her sisters, Diana Harris and Arlene Nordman.
Surviving are her 4 children, Stephen E. (Susan) Massie, Neil B. (Christina) Massie, Jerald "JD" (Jamie) Massie & Stephanie O. (Kenneth) Massie, her 9 grandchildren, Colton Massie, Meghan Massie, Madison Zykan, Taylor Massie, Holden Massie, Cadence Shipes, Macky Jones, Tommy Williams & Sidney Stricklin, & her brothers, Larry "BJ" Sloan & Gaylan Sloan. She is also survived by other relatives & friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
