Kathleen R. Overbey's Obituary
Kathleen R. Overbey, 79 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on May 21, 2020 at de Greeff Hospice House, St. Louis, MO. She was born July 19, 1940, in Omaha, NE. She was married to Nelson Bruce Overbey, who survives her. They were married on May 4, 1963 in Omaha, NE.
Kathy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL, and the Tole Painters Society. She enjoyed many types of crafts, including ceramics, crocheting, Tole painting, watercolor painting, and card making.
Also surviving are her daughters, Laura (Phillip) Haggard of Bear, DE, Linda (Steve) Merz of Millstadt, IL, and Susan (Theodore) Haenni of Ballwin, MO; grandchildren, Danielle and Jason Merz, Michael and Megan Haenni; sisters, Peggy (Dennis) McGinn of Glenwood, IA, and Sally Lund of Springdale, AR, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Waldo Ward and Evelyn Ann, nee Powers, Fink; sister, Evelyn Fink; brother, Michael Fink.
Private funeral services will be held. Interment will take place in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
