Memories of Aunt June:
Christmas was always a wonderful holiday because the "Bishop Sisters" would rotate celebrating Christmas in their homes. When we would go to Aunt June's house we would play pool, listen to music, or play in the girl's room, and eat great food! In the summer, we came over to swim when they put the pool in or a couple of times we went camping with June, Tom and their family. Jerry tried to teach Cassie and me how to ski. We all went to an amusement park where they had a ride called, "Fire in the Hole". It was always quality time with tons of fun when we all gathered together.
As we grew older, I remember taking my mom down to see June and of course, she was cooking up another great meal for everyone to enjoy. My two children, Stephen and Elizabeth, had never seen so much food served for lunch! June always had some type of chocolate, in what seemed to be the candy department (drawer) and provide my children with some yummy chocolate delights. They were amazed with her candy drawer. June would call and speak with Fern a lot and I believe it was something mom enjoyed. My children love coming to St. Louis and have fond memories of visiting Aunt June, as do I. We will miss her. May her memory be eternal..
Love,
Cynthia, Brad, Stephen, and Elizabeth
