Joyce C. Steppig, 89 yrs., of Columbia, IL. He was born in Columbia, IL, the son of the late Edgar and Ella, nee Schiemer, Steppig. Joyce had been employed with the family business, Steppig Distributing, a local beer, fuel and ice distributing company and had retired from Monsanto Chemical Co., Sauget, IL. He attended St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, was a member of American Legion Post 581, Columbia, IL, and the Waterloo Country Club. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of WW II.
He was married to Delores D., nee Diehl, Steppig, who survives him. They were married on September 25, 1948, in Columbia, IL, at St. Paul United Church of Christ.
