Joyce L. Geringer, 81 yrs., of Charlotte, NC, and formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away peacefully in Charlotte, NC. She was born February 13, 1933, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruby (Story) Phillips. Joyce was a long time resident of Columbia, IL, having moved to Panama City Beach, FL, in 1998, and then to Charlotte, NC, in 2007. She was a charter member of Christ Community Church, Columbia IL, and had been employed for many years by Taake Insurance Co., Columbia, IL. She was married to the late Gilbert L. Geringer, who had passed away July 6, 2004.
