Joseph "Joey" Stein's Obituary
Joseph "Joey" Stein, 36 years of East Carondelet, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born August 30, 1986, in Centerville, IL.
Joey enjoyed going boating, camping, and riding his side by side. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family and friends but most of all he loved and cherished the time spent with his kids and fiancé. He was a member of the Prophecy Charity Riders.
He is survived by his fiancé, Donna Spriggs of East Carondelet, IL, his children, Gabriel Stein, Maverick Stein, and Chloe Gullett, his mother, Tina Marie Stein, his bonus parents, Kristal (Erin) Higgerson of East Carondelet, IL, his siblings, Kyle Stein of Granite City, IL, Meagan Edwards of Brownstown, IL, Stephen Stein of Saint Louis, MO, Macy Higgerson of East Carondelet, IL, and Dustin Higgerson of East Carondelet, IL, his best friend, Morgan (Sara) Greene of East Carondelet, IL, his mother-in-law, Diana Jenkins of Dupo, IL, his brother-in-law, Darrell Spriggs of East Carondelet, IL, his dog, Ellie, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Martin Stein and his brother, DJ Stein.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to a memorial fund is being set up for the children.
A Celebration of Life will be held, at 1:00 pm on, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Dupo Community Center, Dupo, IL.
