Joseph Carl Parres, 96 yrs., of Jacksonville, FL, and formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away at Taylor Care Center, Jacksonville, FL. He was born in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late Bernard and Edna, nee Manning, Parres.Joseph had retried from the Terminal Railroad as a yard clerk. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a Veteran of WWII.He was married to the late Glenda, nee Squire, Parres. They were married on December 26, 1944, at Norfolk, VA. She had passed away July 31, 2014.
