Joseph L. Hideg Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph Louis Hideg, Jr., 65 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on August 7, 2020. He was born April 6, 1955, in Springfield, IL, son of the late Joseph L. Sr., and Eleanore, nee Duerche, Hideg. He was married to Rose, nee Neff, Hideg, who survives him.
Joseph was a retired engineer with Fox 2 and Fox Sports, St. Louis, MO. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 592, Fairview Heights, IL. He loved music of all sorts, sports, games of strategy, building computers, and caring for animals.
Also, surviving are his sister, Mary Jo Hideg; brother-in-law, Fr. Gene Neff of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters-in-laws, Barb Voss of Germantown, IL, and Mary Lou (Ron) Conner of Littleton, CO; nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2020, 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 pm,, Thursday at the funeral home with Fr. Gene Neff, officiating. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Columbia, IL
