Joseph Eugene Barnes' Obituary
Joseph Eugene Barnes, 56 years, of Millstadt, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at his residence. He was born April 6, 1967, in Belleville, IL.
Joseph worked as a laborer for TPC. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL., the Millstadt Commercial Club, Millstadt Jaycees, and he played in numerous softball and golf leagues.
Surviving are his sisters, Jennifer (Scott) Koopmann, his twin sister, Jeannine (Rick) Kochmann, Joyce (Jerry) Tastad, and Jodi (Michael) Notter, his nieces and nephews, Michael, Alexandra and Chance Koopmann, Ryan (Mallori) Kochmann, Jake Tastad, Jordan (Abby Dean) Tastad, Sadie and Wyatt Notter, his best friend, Dave "Doc" (Deanna) Louveau, and his family friend, Shirley Boehm, along with numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Jo Ann, nee Kirleis, Barnes; his paternal and maternal grandparents as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
There will be a time of reflection by pastor Darrell Weber beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Illinois. A further Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date that will be held at the Columbus Club in Millstadt, Illinois
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Millstadt Commercial Club.
