Joni Flowers' Obituary
Joni Flowers, 58 years of Oceanside, CA, passed away at Palomar Healthcare Center, Escondido, CA. She was born December 21, 1955, the daughter of the late Alan and Kathleen Beamer. She was married to Dave Flowers, who survives her. Joni had been a member at First Baptist Church, Oceanside since 2001 after she and David moved to Oceanside in 2000. Joni was originally from Fairview Heights, Illinois. She and her family lived near there in Millstadt and Columbia, IL attending Gateway Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Arnold, MO during their lives there. In these congregations Joni taught Sunday School and sung in the choir at both churches. Joni was a talented singer and frequently sung solos during her time there. Joni was well-known for her love for Victorian, lace, dolls, and shopping. At one time she owned over 100 porcelain dolls, her home is extensively decorated in Victorian style with lace, dolls, and angels. Her love for shopping was known by all who knew her. However, her frequent multi-hour shopping trips to Walmart and the mall were not only a search for great deals. She passed out thousands of evangelistic tracks and shared the gospel with hundreds on her “mission trips” to the mall and Walmart. Memorial Services A celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church Arnold, MO on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 8:30 am.
