John R. Graves' Obituary
John R. Graves, 77 years of Waterloo, IL, passed away on April 16, 2017 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born January 15, 1940, in Millstadt, IL, son of the late Earl A. and Leora , nee Shelton, Graves.
John was a lover of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and the kids dearly. He was known in the neighborhood for his meticulously kept yard. He had retired from Aalco Manufacturing.
Also, surviving are his children, John Graves of Waterloo, IL, Rhonda Carter of Cobden, David Graves of Ware, IL, Jullie Brigance of Waterloo, IL, Rejona (Chad) Knobloch of Waterloo, IL, Dawn Stapleton of Waterloo, IL, Billy (Patti) Graves of Dixon, MO, and Betty (Todd) Graves of Waterloo, IL, step-daughter, Darla Stumpf of Waterloo, IL, brother, Rich (Pat) Graves of Waterloo, IL, brother, Wayne (Janet Cole) Graves of Waterloo, IL, sister, Carol Sue Horn of Waterloo, IL, 18 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Mark Graves, grandchild, Eric Boyer, and a sister, Shirley Fischer.
A Memorialization and Celebration of John's life will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at New Beginnings Church of God, 235 Grand Ave., Waterloo, IL, with Rev. Ernest Graves, officiating.
