Joan Marie Touchette's Obituary
Joan Marie Touchette (nee Pankey), 73, of Columbia, Illinois, born January 9, 1944, at Christian Welfare Hospital, in East St. Louis, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on September 24, 2017.
Joan was proceeded in death by her parents, Jay and Earline Pankey, survived by her loving husband, George Touchette of 54 years who she married April 27, 1963.
She was loved dearly by her four children; Darren (Lori) Touchette of Millstadt, Ill., Dana (Thomas) Zimmermann of St. Louis Mo, Denise (Glen) Crump of Waterloo, Ill, DeAnn Touchette of Columbia, Ill; grandchildren, Luke Zimmermann, Reid Zimmermann, Jayden Touchette, Sarah Crump, Dylan Crump, and Shae Zimmermann; siblings, Loren (Tina) Pankey, and Maureen (Drew) Loless, and cherished nieces, nephews, along with many other relatives and dear friends.
Her family meant the world to her and she enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s athletic games, along with her passion to make decorative wreaths, crafts, holiday decorations, quilting, baking, dancing, and spending time at her home, away from home, at Lake of the Ozarks.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 29, 2017, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, and Saturday, September 30, 9:00 am - 9:45 am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held , Saturday, September 30, at 10:00 am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL with Fr. Carl Scherrer, officiating. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
