Joan L Thompson's Obituary
Joan L. Thompson, nee Hamilton 77, of Dupo, Ill., born March 23, 1937 in Riverside, CA., passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the comfort of her home.
Joan dedicated her life to helping others and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Thompson, her parents, Adolphus & Catherine, nee Prince, Hamilton and many aunts, uncles and brothers.
Joan is survived by her children, Adolphus “Dock” (Ronda) Thompson of Dupo, Ill., Christy Anderson of Collinsville, Ill., Misty (Craig) Stahl of Collinsville, Ill., and Amanda (Eric) Zimmerman of New Athens, Ill. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many special cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Illinois.
Memorial Service will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., with Fr. Jim Buerster, officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
At Joan’s request, cremation was held.
