Joan Harrison Florida, 71, of Columbia, Illinois, was born in Maryville, MO, the daughter of David and Irma (Clark) Harrison. She was a retired Supervisor in the Agriculture Divison of Monsanto Chemical Co., St. Louis, Mo. Joan also worked with her husband Gene at his business, "Artistry in Wood". She enjoyed showing horses, and was a well known dog trainer in the Columbia area. She was married to the late Eugene E. Florida. They were married on December 12, 1972, at St. Louis, MO., he passed away September 4, 2002.
