"Jim" Malcolm James Weiser's Obituary
"Jim" Malcolm James Weiser, 94, died January 10, 2020 at 6 p.m. at his home in Columbia, Illinois. He was born July 21, 1925 in Christian County, Illinois to Charles Philip and Ethel Jane (Hatchett) Weiser. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp serving from September 1943 to July 1946. He married Treva Hunsley, July 18, 1948, together for 71 plus years.
They became the parents of three children, Jim Jr., Alan and Callie.
He was a farmer interested in soil conservation, tiling, different machinery and how things worked to better ways. Served on different boards, county soil conservation, Farm Bureau, elevator, the Taylorville School board during the time new schools were built and others updated. He started buying and using Lisa and Apple computers in the early 1980's, updating to iPads, iPhones and using till death.
He is survived by: his wife, Treva Weiser of Columbia, Illinois. Jim Jr. (Dorothy), and 3 sons, James Connor (Chandra) and Dylan, Audrey, Ashton of Columbia, Illinois. Will (Erin) and Adele, Grady of Mascoutah, Illinois. John (Mallorie) and Sullivan, Ruby, Miloh of Columbia, Illinois. Alan (Jan) and 2 daughters, Carla and Colby, Dalten of Wheatland, Wyoming, Dana Nicholls (Dahl) and Tawni, Briella, Dawson of Riverton, Wyoming. Callie Connor (Joseph DVM) of Carthage, Illinois, daughter and son, Kara McClintock(Jamie) and Lily, Elise, Amelia of Washington, Illinois. Matthew Connor of Macomb, Illinois. A sister, Janet Baumhardt of Monticello, Illinois. Nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death my his parents, two brothers and wives, Philip (Vivian), Warren (Mary June), sister and husband Mary Patton (Pete) and brother-in-law, Rudy Baumhardt.
Jim will be buried at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
