Jesse Dean Sellers, 58, of East Carondelet, IL, was tragically and unexpectedly lost on January 8, 2025. He was born March 22, 1966 in St. Louis, MO
He is survived by his loving wife, Windy G. Sellers nee McDaniel, his two children; son, Darek Sellers and daughter Stormy (Dustin) Kemp, two grandchildren; Vivian and Sofia Kemp, his siblings, Floyd (Toni) Sellers, Della (Kevin) Kalmer, Ellen Hernandez, Charles L. Sellers, William (Lynn) Sellers, his two best friends, Darek Fagan and Jimmy Esmon; numerous family and friends and his dogs, Memphis, Annabelle, Denver, Jersey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edna (nee Parker) Sellers, his sisters; Barbara, Trennia, and Stacy Sellers.
Jesse was the devoted husband of his loving wife for 25 years, whom he wed on August 19, 1999. Together for nearly 34 years, their love story was a testament to partnership, resilience and deep affection. He cherished his family above all else. As a father, he was nurturing and kind, always putting the needs of his family first. His pride as a pawpaw was evident through the way he fiercely loved and treasured his grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Jesse was also a passionate animal lover, sharing a special bond with his dogs, who brought him endless joy and companionship.
A dedicated employee, Jesse spent over 12 past years working at Kennedi Auto Sales, forming a close relationship with Jeremy Fults, whom he respected deeply and loved like a nephew. His unwavering commitment and hard work were a testament to his character, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his coworkers and those he served.
Among his many passions, Jesse found joy in camping with family and friends, fishing with his children and best buddies, cruising the world with his wife and friends. He is known for his delicious cooking, especially his chicken and dumplings. In his free time, Jesse enjoyed playing Red Dead Redemption and God of War with his son and smoking a joint.
He believed in the value of honesty and integrity, and his genuine nature made him a friend to all who knew him. Jesse never hesitated to help others. His impact on the lives of others, both great and small, speaks to the legacy he leaves behind.
As we remember Jesse, let us honor his selflessness, his love for his family, and his joyful spirit that brought so much light into our lives. His legacy will live on in the stories we tell, the love we share, and the lessons he imparted.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday January 16, 2025, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Madonnaville, IL.
