Jerry D. Fillinger's Obituary
Jerry D. Fillinger, 68 years old of East Carondelet, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, MO. He was born July 26, 1952, in Charleston, West Virginia.
Mr. Fillinger was a retired self-employed contractor. He attended First Baptist Church in East Carondelet, IL. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, loved to play pool, gardening, fishing, going to the beach and spending time at the Casino Queen.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Eck, his daughters, Stacy (Toby) Hearty & Angie (Orlando Evans) Fillinger; his grandchildren, Hailey Hearty, Mia Hearty, Kylie Fillinger & Lilly Hearty; his step-daughters, Charissa Morris, Carrie (Mike) Middlebrook & Crystal (Jimmie) Neimeyer; his step-granddaughters, Skyla & Katie; his step-grandson, Orlando Evans Jr; his sisters, Mary (Roger) Craddock, Nellie (Alfred) Chafin & Debbie (Gary) McFann; his beloved dog, Ozzie David, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Clifford & Maudie Mae, nee Belcher, Fillinger; his sisters, Joan Morris, Brenda Fillinger, Linda Peyton, Arnetta Lilly, Rosetta Knapp & Peggy Illig and his brothers, Jimmy Fillinger, Bobby Fillinger & Larry Fillinger.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
Funeral Service will be on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., with Rev. Steve Manley, officiating.
At his request, Jerry will be cremated after the services.
