Jeremy Vaughn Hicks' Obituary
Jeremy Vaughn Hicks, 44 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 in, Waterloo, IL. He was born August 30, 1978, in Belleville, IL.
He enjoyed watching and playing softball and baseball, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan, throwing washers, playing golf and bbqing. Most of all he loved spending time with his daughter and coaching her in softball.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Roberts - Hicks, his daughter, Peyten Hicks, step - children, Aaron Roberts, Kaileah Sweet, and Keegan Sweet, his parents, Jeff (Judy) Hicks, his sister, Jody (Brian) Lurk, his nephew, Dexter Lurk, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parent - in- laws, Harry (Sharry) King.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, 2023, 9:00 am - 11:00 am, at Concord Presbyterian Church, 338 Covington Dr. Waterloo, IL 62298. Services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Concord Presbyterian Church, 338 Covington Dr. Waterloo, IL 62298, with Pastor Brian Sandifer officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to An education fund is going to be set up for Peyten Hicks.
