She was born in Nuckols, KY, the daughter of the late Walter and Virginia, nee Nuckols, Carmon. She had worked at Aetna, St. Louis, MO, and had been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL, where she had been active with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was married to the late Lee Bierman. They were married on October 20, 1960, at St. Louis, MO. He had passed away June 19, 2001.
