Jean L. Illert's Obituary
Jean L. Illert, nee Schneider, of Dupo, Ill., born September 7, 1932 in St. Louis, MO., died, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Columbia Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in Columbia, Ill.
Jean was a homemaker. She was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekahs, she volunteered for many years at the Dupo Quarterback Club making popcorn balls for the Pee Wee Football program, she was a dedicated room mother for her children, her and Roy were long time members of the Columbia and Waterloo Sportsman’s Clubs. Jean loved embroidering, sewing things by hand, playing bingo, reading, and cooking.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irene, nee Daum, Schneider, her son, Roy Illert Jr., her siblings, Irene Huber, William Schneider, Norman Schneider and Carol Mooney.
Jean is survived by her husband, Roy Illert Sr., her daughter, Pam (Harold) Tilden, her grandchildren, Tad (Lindsey) Tilden, Jeana Tilden and Brett Illert, her sisters, Linda (Jim) Siner and Janet (Bob) Van Hoose. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation, visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 9 – 11 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., with Rev. Matt Friz, officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
