Janet L. Edmiston's Obituary
Janet L., nee Landgraf, Edmiston, 74 years of Ballwin, MO, passed away on August 16, 2018 at Delmar Gardens of Chesterfield, Chesterfield, MO. She was born October 14, 1943, in Belleville, IL.
She was known as "Mrs. E" by generations of Girl Scouts and was recently presented with the "Volunteer of Excellence Award." She loved crafting and singing and had spent more than a few nights in a tent. She traveled with a troop to Our Chalet in Switzerland and had visited Our Cabana in Mexico.
She was known as "Nanny J" to a number of wonderful children over the years. Most recently she had watched Ava and Gavin and Joseph and JJ.
Janet loved: watching musicals; making art at Arts As Healing; lunch with the Girls of "61"; daisies; angels; travel - Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Belize, Mexico, and Puerto Rico to name some of the places she had visited internationally, as well as extensive domestic travel; eating out with friends; lunch with the "Columbia Girls"; the Annual MADJJJ weekend; and "crazy shopping" with friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Camille (Mark) Borgmann of Pacific, MO; granddaughter, Emma Borgmann; brother, Carl J. (Mary) Landgraf of Columbia, IL; sister-in-law, Kathy Kuehner of Columbia, IL; nieces & nephews, other relatives & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl A. and Pearl Marie, nee Juengling, Landgraf and brother, Jerry F. Landgraf.
Visitation will be Monday, August 20, 2018, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, and Tuesday, August 21, 9:30 am - 10:30 am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, 10:30 am, at the Church, with Fr. Carl Scherrer officiating. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
