James A. Watson Jr., 53 years of East Saint Louis, IL, passed away on July 1, 2023, in East Saint Louis, IL. He was born June 7, 1970, in Champaign, IL.
James was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, grandpa, and grandson. James loved fishing, mushroom hunting, camping, and hunting for arrowheads. He was a devoted family man, who loved to share laughs with his family and friends. He would joke with his kids, nephews, and nieces. He was a hard worker, working for over 30 years in construction as a roofer. Always willing to give a helping hand to whomever needed it.
Surviving are his Sons, Kurtis (Fiancée Elizabeth Potter) Watson and Kraig (Jeanette) Watson, Father, James Watson, Sr., Mother, Susan Watson, Sisters, Jamie Stone, Anita Watson, and Tracy (Paul) Asbury, Nieces, Brittany Miller and Sam Stone, Nephews, Mitchell Stone, Michael Stone, and Steven Miller, Niece, Taylor Miller, along with other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his father's dogs, Sisco and Chico.
He was preceded in death by Margaret Watson, Bob Watson, George Watson, Harold Watson, Richard Coonse, Becky Coonse, James Coonse Sr., and Violet Coonse.
Private services will be held.
