James Schardan was born in St. Louis, Missouri, son of the late John H. Schardan and the late Rose (Schumacher) Schardan. James was an avid golfer, with two holes in one, to his credit. He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Wartburg, IL, and the Gas Workers Union Local # 11-6, St. Louis, MO. He was retired as a machinist with Laclede Gas, St. Louis, MO.Mr. Schardan was a WW II Army Veteran.
