James M. Miller's Obituary
James M. Miller, 76, of Red Bud, IL, passed away on September 29, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. He was born July 8, 1942, in East St. Louis, IL.
James retired as a maintenance engineer from Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, IL. He owned and operated Miller's Clean Up in Red Bud, IL. James enjoyed pitching horseshoes for over 30 years, he was a retired member of the Red Bud Volunteer Fire Dept., he was also an avid antique and car collector and former owner of Miller's Antiques.
Surviving are his wife Joyce, nee Schmelig, Miller whom he married on August 1, 1970 in East St. Louis, IL, daughter, Kim Vaninger, sons, Joseph (Laura) Miller, and Jeff (Ronica Fuentes) Miller, grandchildren, Zachary and Benjamin Vaninger, Jacob, Gabrielle and Evan Miller, sister, Susan P. Miller, brother, Tim (Stephanie) Miller, along with other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Miller and Pearl, nee Haynes, Hartman and a son-in-law, Ray Vaninger.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL, and Friday, October 5, 2018 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:30 am at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL. Interment will follow in the Gilbert Cemetery, Ames, IL.
