Shortly after I bought the house across from Jim, I was removing all the carpeting and seen him for the first time. He yelled "if he knew you were just gonna take it out, he woulda never put it in!" speaking of the previous owner. I thought "man... I'm not even moved in yet and I'm already getting in trouble". 😅 We then introduced ourselves and he told me to let him know if I needed anything. In the years that followed I watched him do numerous favors, yardwork, repairs ect. for myself and others. Everyday he had a task planned. Jim was 40 years older than I and made feel lazy at times. I know he truly enjoyed meals I'd bring him and now and then he'd feed me. Regardless of what his daughter says, his fried fish, ham and beans and chili mac were always good. 😉🙏💞
