James E. Kohlenberger's Obituary
James E. Kohlenberger, 63, of Columbia, IL, passed away at John Cochran VA Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Frank and Louise 'Lulu' (Hasty) Kohlenberger. He had worked at U.S. Steel, Granite City, IL and had coached many teams in Columbia Khoury League and Bluejay Football over the years, and treasured every moment he spent with the kids. He served as a Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. He was married to Patricia (Davis) Kohlenberger, who survives him. They were married on July 6, 1968, at Cahokia, IL.
