Jim was preceded in death by his parents: George & Katherine, nee Seifert, Thomas and his 5 sisters & 2 brothers. He is also survived by his wife of 58 years: Charlotte Thomas, nee Burrows, his daughter: Jana Thornton of Millstadt, IL., his sons: Jeffrey Thomas of Swansea, IL., James M. ôJayö Thomas of Belleville, IL., Stephen Thomas of Millstadt, IL., & Allen Thomas of Belleville, IL., his grandchildren: Christine Chouinard, Ian Thomas, Lucas Thomas, Ryan Thomas & Matthew Thomas, his great grandchildren: Jake, Jessica, Brendon & Hailey Chouinard, his brother: Frederick Thomas of Quincy, IL., he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Jim was retired from the U. S.Treasury Department where he was a pension & trust specialist for the IRS. He graduated from Quincy College in 1959. He really enjoyed playing poker cards with his friends, he was involved in boy scouts in Millstadt & Cahokia & he was a charter member of the Cahokia Lions Club serving as their bingo chairman & treasurer for many years. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1955 and the Army reserves from 1955-1963. Memorials may be made to Illinois Right to Life or Lions Club International.
