James "Jimmy" Robert Cottom's Obituary
James "Jimmy" Robert Cottom, age 70 years, of Belleville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at his home. He was born June 6, 1953, in Murphysboro, IL.
Jim enjoyed collecting and listening to music, played in several bands, was a huge fan of the Beatles, spending time with his friends telling old stories and reminiscing, he loved Gremlin cars, you could find him enjoying a cold beer and listening to records from his massive collection
He is survived by his wife, Bertha "Bert" Cottom, his son, Anthony (Nancy) Mueller, his granddaughter, Haley Mueller, his grandson, Logan Mueller, his sister, Cathy Jones, his nieces Marcie Corwin and family, Erica Corwin and family and his dear friends, Kenny (Sharlin) Pfeffer, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dean Cottom, his mother, Minnie Emeline Cottom, his loving guardians, Lucille (James Edward) Crisler and his dear companion puppy, Viki.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the family. A celebration of life for Jim will be held at a later date,
