James (Jim) William Pautler's Obituary
James (Jim) William Pautler, 69 years old of Red Bud, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his home in Red Bud, IL. He was born August 8, 1949 in Red Bud, IL, to the late Francis and Mary Pautler.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Pautler, nee Laufer, of Red Bud; his son, Jeff (Denise) Pautler of Austin, TX; his son, Joseph (Dallas) Pautler of Bothell, WA; his son Jonathan (Anna) Pautler of Malmo, Sweden; his grandchildren Willem, Sidney, Addie, William, and Matilda Pautler; his sisters JoAnn (Merlin) Kueker and Sally Berndt; in-laws Carl and Linda Laufer, and Dennis and Debbie Stamm. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by sister Dorothy McConachie and infant brother Joseph Pautler.
Jim was a wonderful man who loved his family and touched the lives of those around him. He enjoyed good fishing, cold beer, and spending time with his friends and family. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years, where he tolerated his job but loved his co-workers. He will be remembered for his warm smile, sense of humor, and hatred of telemarketers, cats, and golf.
Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL. Services will be Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baldwin, IL, with Pastor Raymond Holman officiating. There will be a visitation hour at the church one hour before the service begins.
