James C. Hardy's Obituary
James (Jim) C. Hardy, 84 years old, of Dickson, TN, passed away on August 20, 2020 after a long illness. He was born January 15, 1936 in Chester, IL, son of the late Frank Hardy and the late Lucille (Bean) Hardy. He was married to Judith (Hardt) Hardy, who survives him.
Jim was a devoted military man, spending his entire career in the United States Navy. Upon retiring as LCDR, he made his home in Tennessee. He enjoyed family, football, NASCAR, his many dogs through the years, and could usually “fix anything”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law John Deleveski of Columbia, IL and many Aunts and Uncles.
Also surviving are his sister Delores Deleveski of Columbia, IL; first wife Carol (McConkey) Hardy of Libertyville, IL, two daughters, Carla (Terry) Prisk of Gurnee, IL and Gayelynn (Peter) Galgano of Homer Glen, IL; two step children, Rebecca Hays of Dickson, TN and Brian (Wendy) Cox of Mt. Pleasant, SC; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Columbia, IL on Friday, September 25, 2020 at noon. (Protective face masks are required). For more information, access our website www.leesmanfuneralhome.com. Lawlor Funeral Home Columbia, IL will handle arrangements.
