James I. Cole's Obituary
James I. Cole, 85 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. He was born in Mattoon, IL, the son of the late Leon and Bernice (Masters) Cole. He was retired from Chrysler Corp., with over 39 years of service, had also served as a school crossing guard for 17 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Red Bud, IL. James' favorite past-time was fishing. James was an Army and Air Force Veteran serving during WWII. He was married to Melinda (Henderson Polk) Cole, who survives him. They were married on December 27, 1984, at Springfield, TN.
