Jackie was born November 30, 1931 in Murphysboro, IL to Nedra (Hanson) and Arthur Green.
Her life really began when she met her soul mate Lester and they married July 16, 1950. They lived in Pinckneyville for a time, and finally made their way to Millstadt, IL. The two of them were made for each other in every way. Theirs was a love that could never be described. From this love they had two children, Lester Jr. and Esther.
They lost their son Lester in 2002. She lost her physical soul mate in 2004, but she never did lose the emotional soul mate. It has been a long time for her to be without her husband, but now she's back with him forever again.
This beautiful lady leaves Simon, her daughter Esther and her children Alison (Kim) and Patrick (Kristin)and. Her son's children Cheryl (Chris) and their son Cameron, Julie (Shawn) Hampton, and Lester (Chris) Cornelius.
Jackie came from a rather large family, 16 kids. Lillian, Bobby and Ricky left before her. Jimmy, Ida, Linda, Gary, Tommy, Wayne, Georgia, RuthAnn, Dot, Peggy, Arcille and their families are still with us.
The most important thing ever in her life has always been her family. They meant everything to her. She would do anything and everything to help them and take care of them.
I ask that if you feel like you should send flowers, donations, or whatever, that you instead hold on to those special people and let them know that you love them. This will be a true memorial to her.
