Jack L. Harres' Obituary
Jack L. Harres, 60 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on July 31, 2017. He was born May 21, 1957, in Belleville, IL. He was married to Gwendolyn, nee Klasing, Harres, who survives him. They were married on October 6, 1979, in Addieville, IL.
He had been employed as a tax preparer, diagnosed and repaired computers, as well as creating websites.
Also surviving are his sons, Dustin and Alex Harres of Columbia, IL; mother, Carole J., nee Sheets, Harres; sister, Donna K. (David) Lang of Columbia, IL; sisters-in-law, Deborah (Dr. Charles) Riggs, Pamela (Michael) Eppright, and Suzanna (Keith) Koenig, nephew, Joshua (Mandi) Lang of Colorado Springs, CO, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by father, Hilbert H. Harres; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Raymond and Mary, nee Joenk, Klasing.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 4, 2017, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm, at the funeral home following visitation with Pastor Andrew Cheatham, officiating. Cremation will follow services.
