Howard C. Holt's Obituary
Howard C. Holt, 74 years of Belleville, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. He was born December 6, 1949, in Belleville, IL.
Howard retired from Golden Dipt in Millstadt as a shipping and receiving clerk with 34 years of service. He later worked for Al's Automotive delivering auto parts for 10 years. Howard was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Floraville, IL., and the Men's Club at the church and he was a Lionel model train enthusiast. He was also a Vietnam army veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Mary Holt, nee Lauf, his son, Brian Holt, his daughter, Linda (Erik) Mueller, his grandchildren, Allison Holt, Natalie Holt, Erik Mueller and Lauren Mueller, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Marian, nee Peter, Holt, and his brother-in-law, Paul Lauf Jr.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and on Wednesday, an hour before the service at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 4, 2024, at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL., with Rev. Matt Friz officiating. Interment will be at a later date in St. Paul U.C.C. cemetery in Floraville, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. Paul U.C. of C. in Floraville, 100 Koerner St., Waterloo, IL 62298.
