Jim Stumpf
I remember fondly the home of Dr. Maeys, who was in the delivery room when I was born at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville. My father Armin and mom Violet lived for a short time two houses down from the Maeys house and my parents were friends of Dr. and Mrs. Maeys. I remember their beautiful house and gardens and also fondly remember their son Al, who later became Judge. I stayed in touch with the Judge before moving away from the Columbia area, but would run into him when visiting the area. Judge Maeys (Blackie) was always a gentleman and friend of my family whom I will remember as a local hero of mine. With deepest sympathy to the family Jim Stumpf Lake Barrington Illinois
