He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ Columbia, IL, and had been a past senior high fellowship advisor and member of the Consistory. He had been active with the Columbia Sister Cities Program, Baltz's Cemetery Association, and a past member of the St. Clair County Planning Commission.
