Homer D. Hazel's Obituary
Homer D. Hazel, 59 years, of Marthasville, MO., formerly of Dupo, IL., passed away on Saturday,October 17, 2020 at SSM Lake St. Louis, MO., He was born November 17, 1960, in DeSoto, MO.
Homer was a forklift operator with the United States Postal service. He was a member of NRA and his passion was his family and hunting & fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James I. and Alberta M., nee Miller, Hazel, his siblings, Freddie Joe Hazel, Billie Ruth (William) Hester, Juanita Marie (John) Patterson, Carl Lee Hazel and Carolyn Sue hazel.
Surviving are his four children, Misty (Jeff) Campe, JD Hazel, Hunter Hazel and Skylar Hazel, six grandchildren, Heather (Devin) Snyder, Kaitlyn Bastien, Morgan Campe, Nevaeh Hazel and Addie Hazel, one great grandson, Carson Snyder, his two brothers, Harold Gene (Bonnie) Hazel and Jimmie Lee (Caren) Hazel, he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. Masks are required and current CDC and social distancing guidelines are to be followed. There will be a funeral service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Matt Friz, officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Morley City Cemetery in Morely, MO.
