Hershel Ragsdale's Obituary
Hershel A Ragsdale, 85 years of Belleville, IL, formerly of Dupo, IL, passed away on December 5, 2018 at Evelyn's House Hospice Facility in St. Louis, MO. He was born October 25, 1933, in Salem, MO.
Hershel spent two years in the United States Navy. He retired from White Rodgers as a supervisor after 42 years of employment. Hershel was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, IL. He also loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife Dolores, nee Woods, Ragsdale, son, Tod (Linda) Ragsdale, daughter, Janet (Richard) Boyer, grandchildren, Erica (Kari) Donnell-Ragsdale, Nicole (Joeseph) Morgan, Grayson Wilson, Ellie Boyer, Molly Boyer, Richard Boyer III, great-grandchildren, Abbey and Logan Morgan, Griffin and Sloan Donnell-Ragsdale. Hershel is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Audrain Ragsdale, mother, Clara, nee Halbrook, Ragsdale-Key, siblings, Marie Thomas, Clark Ragsdale, and Dean Ragsdale.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, IL. Services will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, IL., with Pastor Todd Mushaney officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, M O.
